Back up a ways from the river, then take a running start. As you leap, flap your wings. That should give you enough momentum to continue forward.
You agree to give it a shot. Moonflower latches onto you, and flaps her wings a few times to measure your weight.
Moonflower: "Oof! You're kinda heavy!"
You suggest taking a running start, saying that with enough speed, you might be able to glide across more easily.
Moonflower: "Ooh, let's try that!"
You take a few steps back, and with a short running start, you attempt to leap over the river. Still holding onto you, Moonflower flaps her wings to help you gain some height, and you are both soon gliding over the clear blue water.
As you near the southern riverbank, however, you suddenly lose altitude, and softly crash-land in the grassy field ahead.
Moonflower: "We made it! Heehee…"
