Guest Author's Note: What was the pettiest/silliest reason an antagonist in your campaign did their Big Bad Thing for?

TS: Wait… could you please repeat that, Ms. Mayor?
Mayor (DM): I don’t trust them gods. They refused to give me a refund for my sacrifice. I asked for pretty weather on my birthday and they made it rain for a WEEK!
RD: You DO know that pegasi control the weather, not gods, right?
Mayor (DM): And now I’ll NEVER get back that goat I burned in their name!
PP: Aren’t Equestria’s goats sentient… I mean sapient… uhh, aren’t they people too?
TS: …and, not trusting the gods or their clerics, you went for UNLICENSED and self-educated non-magical amateurs instead of properly-educated professionals because…?
Mayor (DM): They’re cheaper.
TS: Ah.
