You ask if there was a blacksmith in the village you visited earlier, and say that better gear sounds like it would help you gain experience points faster.

Sea Swirl: "I concur. Let us head back to the village!"

Dawn Break: "Retracing your steps, you find your way out of the enchanted forest, and back onto a familiar dirt road…"

To the west, the dismal settlement comes into sight. Upon reaching it, you enter the general store, and find the blacksmith there.

Whirlpool: "Good day, my lad! My companions and I have come to temper our steel."

Opaline: "Are you able to forge magic into our equipment using these arcane lodestones?"

As you show him the arcane lodestones, the blacksmith recognizes your efforts, and offers you his services free of charge. He tells you that he can improve the effectiveness of one piece of equipment per lodestone.

Dawn Break: "Improving a weapon will increase its attack by one point, and improving an armour will increase its defence by one point."

Sea Swirl: "I'll upgrade my tail flail!"

Moonflower: "Ooh! And I want a better sword!"

Dawn Break: "You give your arcane lodestones to the blacksmith. In return, Tailkicker's weapon damage increases to plus two, and Whirlpool's weapon damage increases to plus three."

Moonflower: "Cool!"

Sweet Biscuit: "Hmm… Blood Edge can heal himself now, right? I think I'll give him my lodestone."
