Blood Edge charges in, and attempts to thrust his longsword into the middle tendril, but the tip of his blade slides off the side, and misses its target.
Whirlpool: "We should focus our attacks on the same tendril. We can dispatch them more quickly this way."
Tailkicker: "Got'cha!"
Tailkicker joins Blood Edge in his attack against the middle tendril. She swings her shortsword, and slashes it for one damage. The foe retaliates, whacking the fighter for two damage, and sending her tumbling backward.
Whirlpool takes Tailkicker's place, and slams her tail flail into the middle tendril, dealing two damage. She then tries to dodge the incoming left tendril lunging at her from the side, but it lands a glancing blow, and she takes one damage.
The right tendril follows with an attack of its own, aimed at Blood Edge, but before it can so much as reach him, the warlock has already jumped out of harm's way.
Meanwhile, Opaline moves to a safe distance away from the battle, and gets ready to cast a spell.
