A new day dawns upon the mysterious island of Midgard. Thick gray clouds brighten on the horizon, and northern winds send waves crashing against your sailboat's hull. You wake up after a good night's sleep, roused by a cold nose brushing your cheek.

Moonflower: "It's mornin'!"

You and Apple Basket sit up and begin to stretch, while Moonflower squeezes herself in between the two of you for warmth. You spend a few minutes huddled together, wrapped in a cozy blanket, before checking the time. Your pocket watch indicates seven o'clock. Time to get rolling!

After sliding out of bed, you and your friends decide to follow the long night up with some food. While Moonflower boils some water to make porridge, the rest of you prepare a tasty plate of apple and cheese slices.

Then, you all sit down and enjoy the meal; an energizing mix of both warm and refreshing to help face the gloomy weather.

You feel satiated.

Once breakfast over with, you move on to planning your journey to Elysia. You unfold the map of Midgard on the bed in front of you, and begin to discuss your course of action.

Apple Basket: "… So if we tack along the outer side o' the island, I reckon we can make it to Norora by noon. And from there, we follow the road south to Elysia."

Moonflower: "Ooh, but what if we take a shortcut on the inner side here, and check out Mortal's Folly?"

Apple Basket: "Uh, right, but then we'd have to hoof it to the nearest road, and that Clear Fountain gal did say that it ain't a good idea to go wanderin' off. For all we know, there could be spider-bears out there, or worse!"
