"You know I like you, right?" She mumbled, shuffling her hind legs.
Bluntness had always been her forte, Jean thought. Though he had gotten used to it, every now and again she'd throw him off guard.
"I-I'd say so. We did kiss, after all." He chuckled softly, briefly glancing at Derpy.
Her mane was styled differently, done in small waves. Strands framed her face, highlighting his favorite feature of her's, her bright golden eyes.
It had only been about half an hour since they made it back to the hotel, but only fifteen minutes since she had entered his room to discuss matters. He had spent his fifteen minutes pacing his room and wondering if he could pull another suave move, and it was clear where her time had went.
He steered his mind back on track to the mare in front of him, who hadn't yet said another word.
"Hmm, she pulled some strange magic on me with something so simple, hasn't she?" He thought to himself, resting his hand on his cheek. A lightbulb went off in his mind.
Derpy was still struggling with a response, blushing at the memory of the gentle kiss he had given her, the soft tickling in her ear while he whispered, how her heart had been beating so fast she almost didn't feel any of the other sensations.
"He's still waiting on me! There's a high chance of him doing that again if you just say something!" She scolded herself.
As she hunched over, frustrated in thought, her bangs drooped over her right eye. She blushed harder at the warm touch of a human hand slowly directing her face upwards, brushing her bangs aside. His fingers played with the other strands on her face, twirling them around his index finger.
"Hi there." She whispered. "Hello there." He whispered back.
"Whatcha' doin with my mane?" She giggled quietly. "Well, I've had a strange magic spell cast on me, and it told me this was a remedy." He teased, continuing to stroke her mane.
"I don't think that's how magic works, Polly," she winked,"but I can't blame you for not knowing."
She could feel the rumbling in his chest as he chuckled.
"Perhaps you could show me, then."
