Serene Petrichor going for a nice walk in the park and spotting a butterfly.
About a month and a half ago I started this drawing, did all the linework and coloured the character, and then proceeded to avoid doing the background for an entire month and a half. Colours are hard. I think the lighting on the character turned out really well in this one, although the light source is a bit iffy at points. Background feels a bit lacking but hey it's the background, no one's looking there anyway. I also feel a bit like the overall colours could be pushed a bit more with the lighting.
This image was made for my friend. They didn't ask for anything specific so I just made whatever I felt would look good.
