Day 5 — Rise

Moondancer struggled the most with the general public out of all Luna and Sombra's kids, the boys while a bit different looking passed for unicorns like their eldest sister, but Mooney stood out from her siblings, in the worst way. Luna and Sombra, and their two eldest did their best to help the young bat pony find her place in the world but she ended up shy and recluse from the eyes of Equestria which further perpetrated the rumors that the dark parts of Luna and Sombra rested inside the child. Bat Ponies were still relatively withdrawn from society in Moondancer's younger years and so she suffered from not seeing others like her commonly around the capital.



On one secret nightly outing, Moondancer had mustered up the courage to try and bond with her citizens to see her parents were right and in saying she would be accepted buy the common creature, and how wrong they were proven. A group of drunken adults coming out of a late night tavern came across the young filly and in their inebriated state and without her royal escort, they let her know just what they felt about the princess of the night. It wasn't until a rock struck the scared filly that Luna's guards had caught up with the escaped princess, they group of drunken stallions were apprehended but the damage had been done. She had lost her faith in the people and began to think she was the monster they whispered about.



It wasn't until a few years later that she meet a kind reindeer calf who slowly changed her views of the world and together with her family they changed the kingdom's opinion on her herself and her kind. No matter what though, she would always remember how the canterlot citizens felt about her.
