Good Evening, and welcome to my first dragon #ponymakeover!

My customer today is Dragon Lord Ember, nominated by Bryan Luna. Thanks for the suggestion!

I wondered for awhile if I should give her something formal, since she is a head of state, but that didn't fit her personality. But as I scrolled through pictures of her, the pout she usually has reminded me of something, but I couldn't put my finger on it. Then I got it: it's the Instagram fashion influencer pout. Seriously, they tend to have that severe/sexy modeling face. So I decided to go the whole hog and give her a look I call the Fashion Blogger look: a wide-brimmed stetson, check. Distressed skinny fit jeans, check. Cute top with some nice detailing, check. Some boho-chic jewellery, check. A pair of sunglasses that probably cost the GDB of a small Asian country, check. And of course as the hero piece, a big coat or jacket with either a flashy cut or a bold pattern, in this case a kimono jacket with a koi fish pattern.

There is a legend in China, that the strongest koi fish will swim up the Yellow River, and only the strongest of the strong will reach The Dragon's Gate at the start of the river on top of a waterfall. The very few who manage to swim trough the gate are transformed into dragons. That is why koi are seen as symbols of strength of character, perseverance, accomplishment and courage, as well as ambition and success. I couldn't possibly imagine a more fitting symbol for Ember to wear.
