((Happy Father’s day! (Or well I guess it’s one day early because I might be putting up something else tomorrow to give it it’s own space)

Never really did something for Father’s Day on IDOTS before. Mostly because the blog has always centered around a single parenthood between Twilight and Spike. But I don’t mean to demean what a supportive Dad can do for you. Starlight pretty obviously had a pretty complicated relationship with her dad, that gets especially fleshed out in Secrets of the Dragon’s Tear. Her childhood was far from easy, and despite being a loving father. Firelight failed Starlight on several issues. He had his reasons, but it ultimately was part of what resulted in Season 5’s depiction of Starlight in this loosely canon-based blog. A tragic mystery that eventually got something of a heartwarming if bittersweet end once Starlight and her father summon Sunset’s spirit))
