Description:

1-2) Heathcliff actin like the lil kitty cat he is inside.
Rainbow and Gilda found the best way to entertain their little cub was through….cat toys. Eventually, they even get him a giant custom-made scratching post. The pom-pom is just for show, Cliff swears he doesn't bat it around like a little kitty cat…PROMISE. It's simply for the utilitarian purpose of keeping his claws in check. He also totally doesn't still have that mouse toy and her name is absolutely not Princess Shamrock Shake. Gilda maaaay have made up the name during one of their play sessions, Cliff called her "Shammie" until he was old enough to say the full name. That Gilda made up the name is a secret only Gilda and Cliff know…Rainbow really thinks a three-year-old came up with such an amazing name…dummy.

3-4) blep
Cliff through the ages. Not pictured: the awkward inbetween phase where his mane was all patchy and gross. we don't speak of those years…

5) old-ish concept art for a comic/story idea I have exploring Rainbow Dash and her choice to leave the Wonderbolts, and how her wife and child factor into that

Basically, the Wonderbolts function under an ideology of pony, particularly pegasus, supremacy. The Wonderbolts believe themselves to be the ultimate examples of how pegasi are better than other species in every way, more athletic, smarter, more beautiful. Pegasi are the uberponies, and the Wonderbolts are here to embody that. Growing up in Cloudsdale, Rainbow Dash was always taught they were the greatest ponies. But when she joins their ranks, she starts to notice cracks in their foundation. Their greatness comes at a cost, the cost of not just other species, but also pegasi who couldn't keep up with this ideal of "greatness". Wonderbolts didn't have disabilities, or missing limbs, they didn't need the same kinda emotional coddling and "workplace code of conduct" other weaker ponies did. Cruel nicknames are only the tip of the iceberg in terms of toxic work environment, Wonderbolts were expected to put their families and friends second to their work, since it WAS so important after all! They were showing young fillies and colts how to be true pegasi, how to lead with the confidence and pride that only comes from knowing you can crush the world beneath your hoof if you wanted to. If someone couldn't handle it, they were either told not to let the door hit them on the way out or, if they're important enough, suck it up and deal with it. The top Wonderbolts were signed to an iron clad contract that made leaving hard as hell, but Rainbow still left, only a few promotions away from being captain of her own squad. Why?

THAT'S THE STORY FOLKS. Cliff comes across some of his mom's old stuff and asks what gives? and rainbow tells him what gave
