Likes: The color green, the color red, cute things, stories, writing, guns, and singing.
Dislikes: War, arrogant ponies, spoiled ponies, ungrateful ponies, selfish ponies, egomaniacs, the color pink, and crowds.
Personality: [Here's a sketch dump of her to go more in-depth to her personality: http://fav.me/d8ypxfw] She has anxiety and depression. She's very street smart, but not very book smart. Can be very energetic when she's with a group of friends. She always tries her best to be a good pony, but still does whatever it is she wants. She doesn't really have a filter and says the wrong things a lot. She does have a bit of a temper, and it's pretty unpredictable to what she'll get angry at. She gets very frustrated with newer machines, and tends to throw them against walls and breaks them. She is a bit nuts. She's very adaptable. She has PTSD, and has frequent nightmares because of it. And has a rational fear of yaks.
Back Story: Typewriter was born hundreds of years in the future. Both of her parents were earth ponies, but her great grandmother was a pegasus. With both of her parents not knowing anything about flying, they worried that they wouldn't be able to help her fly properly (one can imagine their troubles when Typewriter got her wings moving a month and a half after being born). Because of this, Typewriter grew up without being able to fly properly.
When she was just two years old, a war between Equestria and Yakyakistan broke out, and the once peaceful land was turned into a war zone. Her and her parents were unable to leave because of unforeseen circumstances. Her parents learned how to adapt to the chaos around them, and, in turn, taught their daughter how to adapt. Her father even taught her how to use guns, which made Typewriter just a bit trigger happy.
Whenever the fighting calmed down, her parents taught her how to read and write (which, it turned out, she was a natural at). When she was 13, she found an old laptop in a pretty, red, satchel, and decided to carry it around with her. She would write stories on it whenever she could to escape the world around her. Her mother always read every story she wrote, and would enjoy them tremendously. Soon after, her cutie mark appeared!
When she was 15, a Yakyakistanian soldier killed both of her parents right in front of her and destroyed her laptop in the process (she now carries the broken pieces in her satchel), then tried to kill her next. But, despite her being traumatized, her will to live helped her manage to escape the soldier. She was on her own from then-on.
Just before she turned 18, she found an army base by chance, and found out that there was a scientist there who had created a time machine based on Star Swirl's time traveling spell. She saw an opportunity to go back to save her parents. She used her evasion skills she developed to steal the machine, and go back in time. But, she overshot her destination by a significant number of years, and found herself in modern day Equestria. She tried to use the machine to go back to when her parents were killed, but it apparently didn't allow ponies to go back to their own time lines. This made her very aggravated, so she threw the little machine against a wall, breaking it to pieces.
She is now stuck in a time she knows nothing about, and has no guns for her to practice her shooting skills. At least there's no war.
About Hiro: He's a very strange bearded dragon who decided to follow Typewriter around one day. Since he was both green and cute, Typewriter fell in love with him instantly. He pants all the time, but nopony knows why (maybe he was raised by dogs). He is a very happy lizard, and doesn't seem to do anything but walk around and pant. He is always sad when Typewriter's not around. And he was the first friend Typewriter made when she went back in time.
FUN FACT: She didn't actually start putting her hair in a ponytail until she got more settled in the new time period.
[NOTE: I kinda, sorta, based this pony off of myself.]
