As a little colt, there was a time when Cinnamon Sticks put on a witty, comedic persona in order to make others laugh and in turn, like him. But he often went too far and alienated others. A particular jokey remark gone wrong made him realize how much he was making others uncomfortable, and he retreated to his room for days. What emerged was a more moody, sad, gruff Cinnamon. It may have seemed he gave up on what others thought of him, but he was just good at hiding his true feelings. He would keep up this “whatever, I don’t care” attitude throughout his teen and adolescent years, but everypony who knew him could see he was trying his best to be a good pony.
