When you're a high profile fashionista like Mademoiselle (at least in my headcanon), you tend to forget a few things like the time of day, what you had for breakfast, the fact that your number one model's friend needs help with a dance step and has requested help from a friend who's a good dancer…and said friend just so happens to be a Griffon with razor-sharp claws…
Artist's Tidbit: This pic took way longer than I would have wanted. Besides the Summer heat and the ongoing pandemic, things got a bit hectic for me lately. Originally I had planned to do a Summer themed project that would have involved Sunfyre & Genette over a few pics, but that plan had to be put on hold due to a rather 'chaotic' time for me at my irl job. I won't go over the details, but let's just say my work hours increased back to my average criterium after about a year.
Due to the sudden change I decided to plan to do 5 pics based on a random decider I did. This pic is the first. I originally did the sketch work back late last month but then fell into a combination of procrastination, tiredness, video gaming and the effects of the COVID shot in my arm. After all that I got around to working on this piece, but then hit a snag with Mademoiselle's manestyle.
Mademoiselle's manestyle follows the Crystal Chalice salespony from 'Trade Ya!' & since seeing her I liked her look for quite sometime since I introduced Maddy. I haven't drawn Maddy as much as I would have liked & that affected me in which how I proceeded with my idea for her, so after doing an alternate manestyle for my fashionista then going back to the manestyle, I was hit by an unexpected impasse: turn Mademoiselle from a Pegasus into a Kirin.
The Kirin look works rather well with what my idea for a backstory for Mademoiselle is & why she is a surprisingly long-lived creature. I'll get to that in the future but for now my fashionista is a Kirin now. Well, at least in my Valourverse.
