Today's the day! :D (Big Grin) The day when one of the greatest cartoons ever debuted and changed the world. When the studious but asocial Unicorn student, Twilight Sparkle, was sent to Ponyville to make some friends, along with her dragon assistant, Spike, and came to discover the most powerful magic ever — the Magic of Friendship! Soon she, her dragon assistant Spike, and their new friends, hardworking honest Earth Pony Applejack, shy kind Pegasus Fluttershy, silly party Earth Pony Pinkie Pie, fabulously generous Unicorn Rarity, and awesome loyal Rainbow Dash, would learn a new lesson about friendship and report it to the princesses Celestia and Luna every episode throughout seasons 1 to 3. At the same time, three little fillies and sisters of Applejack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash (sister figure) would try to discover their cutie marks, the symbols on their flanks defining their destinies. But of course learning about friendship isn't the only thing these ponies are doing. They would protect their kingdom from dangerous foes, like Nightmare Moon, Discord, Queen Chrysalis, and King Sombra. These pony pals caught our attention and inspired us to build the famous Brony community. This cartoon would continue to win us over and bring us one great episode after the other. And it was when we entered 2012 and approached the third season when I discovered this fantastic, wonderful, fabulous, awesome cartoon and became a Brony myself!

Then, when Twilight Sparkle, completed the unfinished spell of the legendary wizard, Starswirl the Bearded, through the magic of her friendship with her pony pals, she ascended into an Alicorn, a pony with the magic of a Unicorn, the wings of a Pegasus, and the stout heart of an Earth Pony, becoming the Princess of Friendship. She and her very best friends would solve friendship problems around the world, reform villains like the devious Draconequus Discord, former student Sunset Shimmer and dictator-turned-counselor Starlight Glimmer, befriend all non-pony creatures like dragons, griffons, changelings, hippogriffs, yaks, kirin, etc, open up a school to teach friendship to all, pony and non-pony alike, and many, many more. At the same time, the Cutie Mark Crusaders finally found their destinies, which is to help ponies find theirs, and earned their cutie marks; Twilight's BBBFF (Big Brother Best Friend Forever) Shining Armor and Twilight's favorite foalsitter/Princess of Love Cadance would have a baby, Princess Flurry Heart, Spike would go through his Molting and finally earn his wings, Twilight and her friends would open up a school that would teach all creatures friendship. Princesses Celestia and Luna couldn't be any more proud to see how these seven friends have changed Equestria and beyond for the better, from seasons 4 to 8. As always, this show has kept all its viewers glued, entertained, and inspired to become better people, to spread the magic of friendship far and wide, even during the years of division and tribalism. It was this wonderful cartoon that got me inspired to finally join DeviantArt instead of being a spectator. It has made me more of an artist than I was before, and it encouraged me to find and make some new friends, no matter where they were from. MLP:FIM became a new addition to my life, and I will never let it go.

And finally, as we entered our 9th and final season, this was when we had to say good-bye to a legendary cartoon, but we will always carry it in our hearts forever. At the start of our ending chapter, Princesses Celestia and Luna announced their retirement from royalty and would pass it on the paton to Twilight Sparkle, that erudite Unicorn student busy reading books than making friends, and once she made friends she realized how wonderful friendship was and became the Princess of Friendship, reaching out to all, pony and non-pony creatures alike. Celestia knew Twilight was the one to succeed her and Luna. She had come a long way, and she is now Equestria's new ruler. But she won't rule alone. Her best friends, her #1 Assistant and royal adviser Spike; silly party Earth Pony and mother Pinkie Pie; awesome loyal Pegasus and Captain of the Wonderbolts Rainbow Dash; hardworking honest Earth Pony Applejack; fabulously generous Unicorn fashionista Rarity, and shy kind Pegasus and animal caretaker Fluttershy, would rule the kingdom beside her. At the same time, Starlight Glimmer runs Twilight Sparkle's School of Friendship as the new headmare with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and half the Young Six as its teachers. Before this future, Twilight and her friends had many problems to confront, like protecting Equestria from its most dangerous and evil villains (King Sombra, Chrysalis, Tirek, and Cozy Glow), finding the best gift ever for Hearth's Warming, bring color back to Hope Hollow, and prepare to rule over Equestria. Of course, the biggest problem they had to face is one that all friends must face — to say goodbye. Twilight had to return to Canterlot to take up the throne, but her friends had to stay in Ponyville to continue with their lives. So Twilight created the Council of Friendship. They gather once a moon to consult issues ranging from friendship problems to national security, while in doing so, removing the risk of having time spent apart weaken their friendship. Many moons later, Princess Twilight Sparkle would regale this story to her student, Luster Dawn, a Unicorn who like Twilight at the start of this whole adventure thought making friends was pointless and a distraction to her studies. Twilight then explained to her that friendships can be hard to maintain, but life is even harder without them. Luster now takes Twilight's wisdom to heart and after Twilight sent her to Ponyville, Luster started making friends with the ponies and non-pony creatures, and to this day, have adventures of her own. With Princess Twilight Sparkle, Spike, Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and Applejack ruling Equestria together and maintaining their friendship together, they prove to all of us the same lesson that began in this wonderful show, that we will all keep in our hearts, and inspire others in our world to acknowledge and embrace:

Friendship is Magic

It was so tragic when we learned that the 9th season would be the final one for our most beloved cartoon. Even I was sad since there was so much I could've done before the show ended; I still didn't finish the first chapter for my FiMfiction. Many Bronies expressed their disappointment with resentment, denial, and hurt, but we all knew it had to come to an end at some point. But even though Friendship is Magic is over, it doesn't mean the Brony fandom will die with it. It will always live on, and I will always be a Brony. And even though we just entered the 5th season of My Little Pony and we're beginning to join Sunny Starscout the bright-eyed Earth Pony and her new friends carry on Twilight's legacy in futuristic Equestria, we will carry it on in this world. So don't be sad that it's over, be happy it aired. May the Magic of Friendship keep us all together and may cartoon and all it teaches us live on in our hearts for all time.


Well, here's this year's tribute to one of the greatest cartoons ever. I've kept it simple and brought in the Mane Six and Spike, and with new vectors. I think it turned out great. Now, since this show first premiered on October 10th, 2010, and ended October 12th, 2019, I will celebrate this momentous occasion for three days. I will also fly an Equestrian flag for those days. If any of you are planning for the same thing, then go for it!

My Little Pony: A New Generation might have been released, and while it was a great watch from my personal opinion, it will NEVER hold a candle to the one generation that brought us all together as Bronies, the cartoon that will always be the most fabulous, the awesomest, the sweetest, and most unforgettable of the past decade and ever — My little Pony: Friendship is Magic! It will always be the best cartoon ever, next to Ed, Edd n Eddy and Spongebob Squarepants. :D (Big Grin) And remember — Friendship is Magic!
