Description:

I used to watch MLP:FiM as a kid but fell out of it early on without ever being super interested. Cut to this year. Due to quarantine, I've been looking for stuff to get into to satiate my craving for any kind of excitement. When I heard MLP was getting into its 5th generation (I hadn't even known FiM ended 2 years ago after 9 seasons, the last I heard about anything MLP was the 2017 movie, that's how out of the loop I was), I decided it was time to rediscover a smaller part of my childhood that I'd pretty much always see on the internet no matter where I go.

Getting back into the franchise after a long time and stepping into the fandom for the first time, I do regret not getting back earlier; or even that I left it in the first place. I feel a tad bit sorrowful seeing older art and other content from fans who aren't as active or just disappeared. But I'm sure with this new generation, the spark of long-time fans will keep going, while newer people like me get to enjoy a fresh start, from a new beginning.

Having been used to G4's art style for so long after seeing it at least once a year on the internet ever since the show came out, it was very uncanny to see not only a new art style, but a cg one as well. I'm not sure how it is for a majority of veteran fans but for me the new style grew on me quick!

As for the drawing, I drew this a month ago while being entirely new to drawing ponies, but I think I did alright.
