So I did some show-style nextgen refs of some characters I bought recently
These here are Celestia's three children, which she had via magic gene combination. She mainly raised them alone, but also enlisted the help of Equestria's royal baby sitter, Sunburst. Celestia didn't expect to have triplets, but she did pretty well with them considering. They love their big sun mama and their kooky Auntie Lulu.
First up is Celly's daughter, Eightfold. She's the youngest of the three, and takes her role as the baby of the family very seriously. She has the unique magical ability to enter ponies' minds and literally fight their inner demons— her cutie mark is the sigil she uses to cast the spell to do this. She's seen her fair share of messed up stuff, but she tries her best to stay optimistic. She's friends with a lot of the celebrities that live in Canterlot, as she helped many of them overcome emotional problems related to their work. In her free time, she enjoys origami and entomology.
Next is Summersun Equinox, the oldest of the triplets. He's an expert in making stained glass windows, as well as surfing, singing island music, and generally just being a chill dude. He's very experienced in calming Eightfold down when she gets anxious about all the things she sees in her work, and she trusts him to support her no matter what. In his childhood, he was very close with Dusk Moonlight's son, Nova Spiral. They enjoyed an innocent mutual crush for a few months, but eventually lost interest in each other. They're good friends today.
And last but not least, Neap Tide, the resident beanpole middle child. They're a tailor who is able to spin sunlight into thread. Their garments have a satisfying warmth and glow to them, and they're quite popular in Canterlot fashion. When they're not sewing, they spend their time hiking, rock climbing, and doing anything that involves getting up and moving. They love soaking up the sunlight— or even the moonlight!— and enjoying some time in the great outdoors. They occasionally lead camping trips with Canterlot foals, a job they enjoy tremendously.
