Type 4 Commission for :iconcommissioner-y:
Hoo-boy! This one was a doozy to figure out! I mean, the lovely Commissioner-Y gave me as much detail as possible for this commission (which I sincerely appreciated), but figuring out how to position everything was an EXCITING challenge! I swear, I went through four different possibilities for Nightmare Moon's forelegs holding Spike and then five different poses for Spike's body!
Oh, and the background was tricky, too! Having to recreate a Canterlot scene at night was particularly interesting, but fun, too!
Anyway, enough about my drawing techniques, enjoy this deliciously dramatic piece featuring Nightmare Moon cradling the fallen hero, who gave his life to save her!
