A group of foals comes across the ghost of a young filly. Unfortunately, she doesn't seem to realize she's a ghost. They make it their mission to find out what her unfinished business was and help her complete it, but they don't want her know what they're doing. A simple task becomes a much bigger endeavor.
From left to right we have Braveheart, Hopscotch, Topsy Turvy, and "Willow"— the filly isn't totally sure what her name is, funnily enough, so the gang gives her a nickname.
Braveheart does his best to live up to his name, and that often means getting into dangerous situations. He’s the kind of kid who will try anything once, whether it’s bungee jumping, swimming a cross a raging river, or exploring a creepy abandoned house. His love of living on the edge is what leads the group to finding Willow.
While Braveheart relies on physical prowess and agility, Hopscotch is a more brainy kind of colt. He depends on facts and figures to understand the world around him, and if something violates the laws of reason, he’s probably terrified of it. When he first meets Willow, he’s scared out of his mind, but he eventually comes to think of her as a puzzle that needs solving.
Topsy Turvy is maybe the only member of the group with any actual people skills. She does her best to always see all sides of a story and make decisions accordingly, so she’s often the voice of reason. When the kids meet Willow, Topsy is the one who convinces Braveheart and Hops to keep her whole “ghost-ness” a secret.
Willow is a happy-go-lucky filly who is completely oblivious to the fact that she’s… well, a ghost. She’d rather spend her days frolicking through flowers and eating sweets than trying to find her way to the next frontier. She has no memory of her death, and whenever the others ask her about it, she gets distant and confused. Hopscotch assumes it’s just her mind erasing the trauma, but maybe there’s more to it than that…
So that's the basics of the spooky time gang! Any other content I make related to them probably won't see the light of day for a while because my wrist is on the fritz (I'm finally gonna see someone about that soon), but these kiddos were a delight to draw :D
