> How the day started..
>
> "Terrific turtles! It sure was a nice day to pick some good ole berries! Whaddya think Estey?," said Valentine, as Estella and she strolled through her strawberry garden, with Ginger lovingly curled around her. Their baskets were full of berries, ready to drop them off at her Scaly Shack.
>
> "Sure thing Val. I wouldn't dare to miss any opportunities to pick your delicious berries! They're always so big, sweet and juicy! How do you manage to always have them so perfect?!," Estella cheerfully asked.
>
> "With enough tender love and care hun. Simply put," Val grinned.
>
> Then suddenly a big frog came hopping along, emerging from the strawberry bushes. "Eek! A FROG!," Estella exclaimed, scrunching her nose and sticking her tongue out in grimace.
>
> "Oh! Don't fret dear! You'll scare them. Typical Estella," Valentine chortle softly.
>
> "Well, excuse me," Estella scoffed.

> OKAY, I know y'all are probably wondering, "what in the diddly dang world is going on?". I just had this silly idea for an "episode", starring Estella and Valentine of course, because why not. I'd thought it would be one of those episodes that start off fairly normal and simple, with Valentine and Estella hanging out, picking berries. But then suddenly, a ruckus is heard from the ponies of Ponyville, as a feral female bull snake (ophiotaurus or naga) is slithering and whipping her tail about in the village. The two curious fillies go to check it out, and upon reveal, they're instantly frightened. Estella is frightened because of her innate fear of snakes and all things scaly and slimy, while Val on the other hoof, who isn't scared of bull snakes per se, but scared that she may or may not have indirectly made this mama snake mad, causing this havoc!
>
> How exactly? Well you see, Val in her free time casually takes strolls in the Everfree Forest (to discover more creatures, just to get bit by all of them XP). But then suddenly, she stumbles across an egg, seemingly abandoned. Of course, Val wasn't that inconsiderate to take the egg, then and there, so (without touching it, for scent reasons) she guarded it. She wanted to wait until she could sense any signs of its mother. But there was nothing! For hours, and hours! She feared that a hungry manticore would come and eat it, and plus, it was dangerous to stay in the Forest nearing nightfall with no shelter or anything. So dubiously, Val opted to adopt the egg as hers for a while. She said to the egg, "Some type of mama you have. But don't worry, I'm your new mama!". She spoiled the egg as if it was her young, kept it warm, swaddled it in blankets, pretended that she was a snake by having it lay on her side, and gave it tea parties… She did absolutely everything XD.
>
> Eventually, Val and Estey got the mother's attention, by Estella having to overcome her fear a bit and lure in the naga by saying "I-I know where your egg is! \\~Please don't eat me!\\". It worked, and Val had Estey help her guide the naga to the Everfree Forest, baiting the mom with her egg in Vals makeshift baby carrier. And yes, before Val gave the mother the egg, to calm the mother down a smidge, Val had to speak in snake (hissing lol). It went on for a bit, because in the midst of that hissy fit, Val scolded the naga for being irresponsible and losing her egg in the first place. A part of Val was also being greedy over the egg as she cared for it for a while, then now all of a sudden the mother wants her baby back. Val believed that she's a better snake mama than an actual snake mama XP. But in the end, the naga understood Val and learned her lesson. Val, now hesitantly gave the egg back to the naga and said, "Now, take care, AND I BETTER GET A VISIT EVERY MONTH, YA HEAR!! (Then says in an owo voice) So, I can see my wittle Dwagziwa Jr. He's my nephew now".
>
> At the end of the day, I really don't think Estella overcame her fear, if anything it only got worse XD. However, at least Val knows that she'll be a great mom. (And now has a mother naga as a friend and a nephew XP.)
>
> And also, I know y'all are also wondering, "aren't the bull snakes supposed to reside near or on Mt. Everhoof". Yes, but I believe that there are other types that live elsewhere. The one here in my little story is more pony like, maybe even half ophiotaurus and half naga (naga in my hc are pony snakes, because humans don't exist in the pony world XP). I would believe nagas reside in places with thicker foliage and swamps (so you may find them in Hayseed Swamp too). Idk, just made it up XD.

> I hope you guys enjoyed the little "episode" I guess XP. Man I really wish I knew how to write stories instead of just giving a synopsis and dialogue ;w;. I mean, I write sometimes, but it's never good or I NEVER finish it, sooo…. TwT. I would like to do more of these (with the help from you guys, gals and non-binary pals in the near future ;3. I swear, I need to start that Q&A soon XP. I just wanna get my main ng characters first, but I'm so slow ;w;).
