> "Aurora? You called?" The queen said as she stepped into Aurora's room. Aurora was very very nervous. Rainbow stood next to her. "Hello your majesty."
> "Hi Mom." Aurora's voice was shakey and her legs trembled as she stood there. Sombra noticed something wasn't right. "What's wrong Aurora?" Aurora took a deep breath. "You have met Rainbow Blossom right?" Sombra smiled. "I have seen her a few times, but I haven't been formally introduced. Hello Rainbow Blossom."
> "Hello Queen Sombra." Rainbow said. She became tense, and that didn't help Aurora's nervousness at all.
> "We can cut on formalities dear, just call me Sombra, are you a friend of my daughter?" Rainbow gazed at Aurora, her face speaking for her. 'Want me to tell her?' Aurora took another deep breath and spoke. "Yes, she is. But she is also my… marefriend." Sombra looked as if she had been hit. Aurora and Rainbow waited to hear what she had to say. Would she be happy? Mad? It was a while before she spoke, each word colder than the one before.

> "Aurora. I don't even know what to say. We are royalty, we have standards. As for the daughter of the queen to stoop that low. You should be ashamed of the stain you have just put on this family."
> Sombra continued but Aurora didn't listen. At the horror of the hatred her mother showed her legs gave out beneath her, every sob with more pain than the last. Raimbow tried to comfort her but nothing could keep away what her mother had just said. It could have been seconds or minutes before her mother said.

> Sombra lifted Aurora with her magic. She dropped after a loud kick busted in the door. Aurora stood up partly behind Rainbow.
> Lunar stepped forward, the room was silent as she made her way toward them. She stopped in between Sombra and Aurora and Rainbow.
> "How dare you?" Lunar said. Lunar had never liked Aurora, mainly ignored her. She had always hated their father and when he had Aurora, looked at her like she was grime that couldn't be removed from a perfect wall. Lunar lifted her with her magic towards her. Aurora expected much worse but Lunar set her down in front of her. She hugged Aurora, comforting her. Everyone but Lunar was confused. Lunar turned her head to Sombra. "I say again, how dare you?" Sombra looked taken aback for a moment, before replacing that face with anger. "What has gotten into you girls? Is Solar gonna pull a stun-"
> "Shut up." Lunar said. "Who gave you the right to decide who she loves." She let Aurora go to Rainbow. She flew up to Sombra's height. "And who gave you the right to judge her like that? Last I checked a queen loved all her subjects equally." Sombra mumbled. "I said shut up. I don't care that you are her mother, I don't care that you are the queen, and i personally don't give a care that you are my aunt. You have no right, authority, or reason to talk to her like that. Now you either be happy she has found someone she loves or get out." Sombra looked scared of Lunar. "I will take some time to consider and think this over." She walked out Aurora's room.
> "Are you two all right?" Lunar said. Rainbow nodded. Aurora was still in shock. "Why did you help me?" She whispered. Lunar sat down. "Because no one should judge anypony like that." Her voice became sadder. "I shouldn't have judged you like that. Instead I ignored you, I was jealous you got everything I wanted growing up, magic, friends….parents." She dipped her head. "And I know that no apology is gonna take back the time I could have been there for you or the pain I caused you but I'm sorry and hope one day you may be able to forgive me." She went to stand up but was tackled by Aurora. "Are you kidding of course i accept your apology! I may have been a bit bored as a filly staying in the castle alone but I'd do that a thousand times over if it meant you would have helped me today." Lunar smiled. "Well, Sombra probably doesn't want to see me right now, so no queen lessons, what do you say we catch up on some of our lost years and go have some fun? Rora style!"
