After President Grogar forced American Samoa, Puerto Rico, and Guam to become states, with nuclear death threats, Lieutenant Governor Sombra, of British Columbia, knew he was in trouble when Grogar announced he wanted to connect Alaska to the rest of the United States. Sombra was elected into office, as Canada’s first autistic Lieutenant Governor, to double the safety and security of the province. However, that was put to the test when Grogar threatened to nuke the capital of British Columbia, if he couldn’t establish a USA territory there. Because Grogar nuked Washington D.C., only to make sure he doesn’t get impeached, the Canadian government was forced to agree.

Within months, Americans started moving in and out, for jobs, nature, and homes. So much so, that it was enough to qualify as a state. The Canadian government didn’t want to give up British Columbia, but Sombra pointed out that Grogar could nuke the capital, if its state or territory didn’t comply. What was left of the legislative branch, also pointed out that it could help the debt of both the United States and British Columbia. Long story short, British Columbia became a state, and Sombra became its first state governor.

Following this, Sombra approved some new state laws, that could be devastating to the Mane 7, by making many insane things illegal, such vigilantism, many spicy foods, running without a permanent, mind reading, weight lifting over 85 pounds without muscle, fruit stomping, taking advice from animals, and forging gems. Even though he won the president’s trust, all of that mental trauma clearly made him paranoid, and somewhat mad.
