> "It doesn't matter!" Diamond yelled as she ran off into the Canterlot gardens. Her mother Crystal Rain tried to follow her but was stopped by her own mother Solar Eclipse. Solar followed Diamond until she stopped in the same area Solar, Lunar and their mother shared when Solar was a filly, thousands of years ago.
> "Surprised this place is still here after all these years." She said as she walked behind Diamond. Diamond just lowered her head. "When me and Lunar were fillies, before our mother was killed, she used to bring us here to this very spot and show us all the wonders she could create with her magic." Solar walked to Diamond and put a good on her shoulder. "So what was all that yelling about?" Diamond stayed silent for a while but did eventually speak.
> "Mom wants me to "live my dream" but it doesn't matter if I want to or not, I can't." She confessed. "What is your dream?" Solar asked her granddaughter.
> Diamond sighed, "I want to dance, dance with passion, feel every vibration of music, move to any rhythm, anywhere, anytime. But my leg, I can't even put weight on it anymore, the more I try to strengthen it, the weaker it gets, and the weaker it gets, the more I have to wear that stupid brace!" Solar understood what she meant. "What happens if your legs can't carry your weight anymore?" She said.
> "Then I can't walk on my own anymore." Diamond said with her head held low.
> Solar came up with an idea. "I know a way you will be able to walk on your own, and never wear the brace again." Diamond shot her head up and looked at her grandmother. "How?" Solar used her magic to bring a scroll. Diamond stared intensely. Solar opened the scroll. It was an application for the Soliaris Academy of The Arts. Diamond scrambled backwards. "NO! No way I'm doing that! You know what will happen if I fail." Solar began to sign herself as the validation. Diamond tried to stop her but Solar knew what she was doing. "You will lose everything you have worked for!" Diamond said in a last attempt to get Solar to find another way. "That school means nothing to me if you are unhappy, I cannot watch others fullfil your dreams if I don't give you a chance, but I know you can do this." She sat down in front of Diamond as Diamond held her head low. "If you vouch for me and I fail, you will lose your rank in the school. I can't let you lose everything because of me." Solar lifted her chin up. "I know someone just like you who can help. I know she can teach you way better than anyone who teaches at the school can." Diamond for once had hope in her eyes.
