Whenever your characters are asking each other "So, what now?" that's usually a manifestation of your subconscious awareness that you just dropped the plot. If the characters are asking that question, just have them do what the answer is. If you don't know what that is, you need to rethink your storyline and approach this moment a bit more smoothly.
