For my final year in university I want to try something extremely ambitious that will push my skills to the limit. I essentially want to create illustrations and comics that mix all my inspiration and nostalgic love of the diverse range of animation and Architecture with references and interests from the old masters and real life culture and activities (photorealism if it is doable). with a touch of obscure geeky humour from yours truly. =D
To put this long winded paragraph in to a simple sentence a Roger Rabbit universe. But not set in a certain period because it will all blend together. ＠_＠
This comic is not going to an ongoing series (￣ヘ￣). I did this short comic for experimental purposes one looking at narrative and personal humor for the characters. And colour theory, which I believe to be a big weakness in my work at this point.
I lessen my palate for each page and only colour in the characters in their full schemes but merge them in with the suggested atmospheres and moods. :|

This comic in terms of its visual design has being inspired by Cool world 1940s and 50s shorts mainly Disney :). With modest hints to different games and shows but I am not going to tell you lot anything find out the jokes for yourself.
No the Friendship is Magic pony is not an OC I just wanted to incorporate the design in to my style because I love it (if you can not already tell). ᕙ(‿‿ )ᕗ
Darn cute characters always get me right here.
Its also important to note that I did not use any pencil for these spreads just a good old black pen and a steady hand that’s why it seems a bit crude (same with the colour) and wrong in panels at times. Ironically I used to just use pen back in the day.
This is my fist time using lots of word balloons and even writing this much. ;
You soon realize how important it is to make spaces for bubbles in each panel but hey this whole mini project is a learning curve for me to improve upon but I am satisfied with the result so far.
