I just got out of the hospital and learned that a guy whose blog I'd been reading for more than fifteen years, with whom I'd corresponded intermittently for over a decade, killed himself about a month ago. I considered him a friend. He was a good guy. He was really depressed about a number of things, and had been for a while, but I never thought he'd commit suicide. It sucks.
