Description:

Lily Valley: "Peachyy?! I'm not sure coming up here was a good idea!"

Peachy Cream: "But Lily, then how was this flower supposed to drink? It hasn't rained in days."

LV: "…and I've even lost my lily".

PC: "Oh, come on, you'll get another one when we get back to the flower shop"

LV: "IF we get back, Peachy: IF!"

PC: "Can't you relax for a moment and just enjoy the view? The landscape is amazing from up here!"

LV: "No, thank you, I'm too busy focusing on, you know…not falling down!"

PC: "…you are such a pain in the neck. Next time, I'm bringing Roseluck along :|"

This drawing is a well-deserved gift for my friend StartledFlowerPony, for all he has done and keeps doing not only for me, but for a huge share of the MLP community. Seriously guys, he's a hero: he's always there, giving support to beginners and emerging artists and giving all sort of gifts to his friends! And when he's not busy being an awesome supporter, he even finds time to create some fanart for those background ponies of the series who have hardly any! So go give him some appreciation and, possibly, a watch! I assure you, you won't be disappointed! Initially I planned to draw only Peachy Cream, but then I thought I would add in a Lily Valley as a "bonus" :giggle:

I started this drawing back in August and I wanted it to be the best thing I had ever drawn so far. Now that it's finished, I think I've only partly reached that aim. I have in fact mixed feelings about it: I am very proud of Peachy's pose and the way I colored and shaded the two mares, and I also quite like the water effect I was able to obtain on the flower and the rocks, but on the other hand I feel like I could have done the background waaaay better if I only had more experience on how to do backgrounds. Also, since I wanted to draw this all by myself, realizing halfway through the drawing that I was simply not able to draw rocks and that I would need to resort to a public domain picture was a bit disappointing and frustrating.

Really, the background is what's bugging me the most (dang, that house sucks! :XD:), but working with a lot of layers didn't help me, and I also really wanted to finish this because it was taking SO long! I believe I've spent more than 20 hours of work on this one. BUT the result is somehow something I can be proud of, in the end, and I hope you like it as well! :D Especially you, SFP! ;3 I hope you know that you are amazing, and that I don't know where I would be now without your help: don't ever change, my friend, we need more people like you in this world! (And sorry it has taken me so long to finish this artwork! I hope it was worth the wait, at least ;).
