T.W — Death

During a raging blizzard, AJ, Pear Butter and Bright Macintosh were attempting to return back to the farm in a rickety wagon filled with supplies for the family. The blizzard had been lasting for days, not only starving the Apple family but the surrounding wildlife.

Due to the bountiful food inside the wagon, the trio was attacked by a pack of ravenous Timberwolves. Bright Mac shouted at his wife and child to run to the farm while he fought off the pack. The pair bolted together while Bright Mac put up a good fight… but not good enough. He’d be found a day later, dying of blood loss, out alone in the frozen snow.

Like her husband, Pear put up a good fight against the Timberwolves, protecting her baby with all her might. AJ was able to hide but witnessed her mother’s death. Even after the wolves left, AJ hid for hours upon hours. She was able to keep warm next to her mother’s limp body, occasionally nudging her trying to wake her up.

AJ was injured and freezing, fear consuming the little foal. That was till she was approached by a mare in a cloak. The mare’s voice was soothing yet demanding, as she ordered AJ to follow her.

Granny Marie Smith had sent out a search party for her family but had sadly come up short. That was till a little filly wandered out of the trees and up to the barn. Marie still has no idea how the filly survived or even found her way back but she could not be any more grateful.

In adulthood, AJ cannot remember the mare who saved her but the night of her parents' deaths still heavily weighs on the mare. Due to the attack, AJ has a deep phobia of Timberwolves and is dead set on protecting her land from them. She has killed no end of packs, wanting to wipe the species out from Ponyville. This causes quite the ruckus between AJ and Dr. Posey Flutters, who wants to protect the already endangered species. Posey is attempting to help AJ with her phobia but so far it is next to unsuccessful.
