Description:

Dont let appearances fool you about these two, since in reality they are far from what everyone thinks them to be. On the surface, Fancy Pants and Fleur de Lis appear to be an old money stallion and his beautiful young wife that models. This could not be further from the truth. In reality, Fleur is the wealthier pony, and Fancy's life of comfort and fun is directly funded, at least in part, by Fleur's own bits.
Fancy Pants, born Denim Slacks, grew up in a small town outside of Whinnyapolis . Both of his parents made their living in the textiles industry, his mother was a seamstress and his father ran a moderately successful denim factory. He grew alongside his younger brother, Hondo Flanks. Hondo was a restless stallion, and once his cutie mark appeared and signified a talent in atheletics, he decided he needed to leave home. He ended up taking a hoofball scholarship at the university in the big city, and left as soon as he could, and never looked back. Once Hondo flew the coop with his girlfriend, Cookie Crumbles, everything fell onto Denim's shoulders.
Denim Slacks stayed in his hometown, and worked with his father. Once he was old enough and skilled enough, the denim factory was passed into Denim's hooves. Following this transfer in business, Denim Slacks changed his name to Fancy Pants in hopes that one day he would indeed be fancy. This day came sooner than he thought, when he met one Fleur de Lis on a business trip to Canterlot. They met in the foyer of the hotel they were both staying at, Fancy on his way in and Fleur on her way out. Fleur was used to Canterlot stallions being haughty and loud, so seeing Fancy shyly walking across the room was intriguing. She approached him, immediately flirting, using her star power as an advantage. Fancy was flustered to be approached by one of Equestria's nobles, and that it was the one who was also a supermodel. Fleur was not shy about her attraction to Fancy, and gave him her room number, telling him to come by when he was feeling brave.
It took Fancy nearly an entire day, but he did eventually work up the nerve to visit Fleur. When he arrived to the mare's suite, he was shocked to see a fully furnished apartment. His own room in the same hotel was little more than a bedroom and bathroom with a water cooler in one of the corners. Fleur welcomed him in, offered him a glass of wine, and got right to business. Fleur explained to Fancy that she was attracted to him, and that she was looking for someone to spoil. Fancy Pants, a mild stallion from small town nowhere was confused and flustered, and asked the mare to elaborate, and she did. Fleur explained that she liked Fancy and wanted to use her own bits to fund his life, in exchange for his time and affection. At first he was unsure and a bit uncomfortable with this idea, but he thought about the frugal life he was living in comparison to the opulence of this mare's life, and said yes.
This first meeting turned into a long weekend, with Fancy spending every free moment of his trip in Fleur's spacious sweet, where they drank wine, ate sweets, and listened to music. When the time finally came for Fancy to return home, Fleur gave him an envelope filled with bits and asked him to write her a letter when he ran out. When that time eventually came, Fleur mailed him a train ticket back into Canterlot with an address to come to.
And so began their love affair. Every month or so, Fancy would some and spend a long weekend at Fleur's estate, accompanying her to dinners and events as her plus-one, and spending their free time alone in her home. As most casual relationships go, eventually feelings developed and They began seeing each other as regular romantic partners, though their financial relationship stayed the same, with Fleur paying for all of Fancy's desires. After a few years of seeing each other, Fancy decided it was time for him to move to Canterlot and devote his life to Fleur. His textiles business was beginning to truly blossom thanks to Fleur paying for Fancy's day-to-day, which boosted his overall profits by a significant amount over time.
After a lot of discussions and work with finincial specialists, Fancy expanded his business and opened a factory outside of Canterlot and moved his headquarters to his new factory. Within a few short years, Fancy Fabrics and Textiles became a household name in the cities surrounding Canterlot. In the wake of this success, Fleur and Fancy Pants finally got married in a opulent and beautiful ceremony attended by all of the most wealthy and noble ponies in the empire. The pair couldnt have been happier, with them both living their ideal lives. Fleur paid for all of Fancy's activities and Fancy Pants quickly became a well-known member of all the clubs and societies in Canterlot, going so far as to become chair-pony for the royal celebrations committee, a role he thrives in.
Since their marriage, they have welcomed their only child, Silk Cravat, who they adore. Their son takes heavily after his father in both his love of textiles and his love of being spoiled.
