> So, second time visiting these three .

> Quite awhile back, I explored the idea of the villain trio escaping Canterlot and fleeing the kingdom after being imprisoned in stone at the end of Season 9. The three go on the run for awhile with their bond developing more along the way, beyond just being temporary allies. Or even friends for that matter. One of the biggest mysteries for me was Cozy Glow as very little is known about her past and family. Two possibilities are either that is an orphan, or an abused child. For this story/scenario in particular, I would say that she is an orphan. Perhaps she lost her parents very early on in her life, and in a way has always been alone. As a result, she doesn't know the true concept of family (Or friendship for that matter) or what it's like to have one. All she knows is what she is good at: Manipulation.

> What makes it interesting is that the other two also lack somewhat of an understanding of the concept. Tirek had a poor relationship with his family, and Chrysalis, while a provider for her hive, did the things she did mostly out of necessity and power.

In my opinion, just because a character or group of characters learn the magic and value of friendship, it doesn't necessarily make them good. It only means that they now know how wonderful friendship can be. And that's what this story is really about: This unlikely trio discovering true friendship together and amongst each other for themselves.
