Description:

After a long day of fighting crime in Gotham City, including but not limited to the Joker, Bane, Riddler, Poison Ivy, and many others that this humble but forgetful narrator doesn’t remember as of now, the dynamic duo of Batman and Robin went straight back to their batcave, having finished for the day. Of course, they were sort of like firefighters or paramedics; having to go back to fight crime when the need arose, even if it was quite late at night (Robin took quite a lot to acquaint to that…), but it was unlikely for them to get called at those hours; they’ve made criminals fear their name, and as such there were fewer crimes in general, except for mad lads like the Joker, who simply gave a fuchsia.

Not exactly with them, but going in the same direction, went a peculiar creature. This one flew through the dark, starless and moonless Gotham skies, hiding in the almost pitch black background of the foggy and cloudy night. Their… no… her… the eyelashes she had on her eyes indicated she was a female. In any case, she cut through grayish-black clouds with her wings, shaped like a particular animal of the night. The wing design would’ve probably been weird for anyone that looked at it, in particular ponies that had basic notions about wing shapes and aerodynamics, but even though it defied reality, this plane pony was probably one of the fastest and most maneuverable aircrafts in the world. That’s what comes from a lotta money from a rich guy like Wa-Batman of course.

The fluffy plone hummed lightly, singing some Batman’s TV show tune as her wings left contrails behind her. There were also the shock diamonds from her turbofans, and the dash she left behind, shaped like a bat. Her whole black color aided in not being visualized in the dark sky on top of her, providing her of an quite useful camouflage ability., and the lack of any light of sorts (Even though that was a rule for aircrafts, but are you really going to ask Batman to follow your rules?) made it even worse for any anti-aircraft gunner that wanted to try and fire at her… Or just a simple passerby who was looking at the sky at that time, who knows.

In any case, the dark gray/black plane pony, bearing similar colors to its owner, flew closer, towards Wayne’s mansion. But they weren’t quite going towards the mansion itself, but what was under it. “Bravo Whiskey Bravo Charlie. Soliciting authorization to land, over” He said through the private channel of the BatCave. Meanwhile, underneath the mansion, authorization was given by Alfred; Batman’s/Bruce Wayne’s butler; Alfred Pennyworth through the intercom “Authorization conceded Bravo Papa Echo Golf Five Niner Zero. Proceed as normal”. He didn’t really need to explain the plane pony what to do since she’d done this countless times, and, quite frankly, he didn’t feel like doing it as of now.

For the plane pony, this was the easiest part of the day, aside from just sleeping comfily on the cave. She made a quick chandelle, adjusting her course as she saw the entrance on the backyard near the mansion. She flew right on top of it, managing to make a cobra maneuver and keep it as she hovered, effectively stopping in mid-air as suddenly the door underneath her started opening by the midsection, revealing a large tunnel like interior with dim blue lightning. She smiled as she started to reduce thrust on her engines, losing altitude as she floated lower and lower towards that psychedelic entrance. After a few moments, she finished the landing, her soft, furry, black hooves stepping on the hard tiled floor underneath the fake grass of the mansion’s backyard. Soon, the doors started quickly closing back to their original position, not letting any pry eyes know this was a secret entrance. The plane pony kept staring for a few seconds the doors closing, making sure they don’t malfunction and reveal something.

After the doors successfully closed without any kind of interruption or error, she smiled to herself as she started to walk through the corridor towards the batcave, her gentle, soft hooves pounding lightly the tiled floor underneath her heavy plane pony figure as she gently trotted, looking at the dim lightning fade away as she knew she was approaching her master’s lair.

After a while, the futuristic looking corridor finished in an really open cave. And by open I mean very open. With various artifacts, ranging from ‘souvenirs’ from other accomplishments, such as a giant penny, an equally giant card of the joker, and an also gigantic animatronic dinosaur of sorts, to extremely important technological equipment such as computers, lots and lots of monitors, spy equipment, etcetera. To the right there was an elevator, that seemed to lead upwards, to the cave’s first floor (From PB to the last floor) and then afterwards to Bruce Wayne’s mansion through a secret place. There was also the hefty load of different cars, bikes, and other vehicles she didn’t quite know what they were, some selection of uniforms that Batman and his teammates used, and many more things this narrator doesn’t want to narrate because he’s lazy. All of those intricate and overly complex things were interconnected by various corridors, bridges, tunnels, stairs, ladders, elevators, and many more. The plane pony couldn’t help but idly wonder how Batman could even remember the 25% of his cave’s things and where they were exactly at.

The black batplanepony walked through a wide corridor, meant specifically for her (Or any other vehicle of such dimension) as she idly looked in awe around the base… Even though she has lived here for a long time, it always managed to look different and so stunning for her… It was so… futuristic… Yet the fact that some of the cave’s parts still remained (Like a large amount of stalactites and stalagmites), gave it some kind of mix between the futurism and the naturalism… or whatever it was, I’m no interior designer, all I know is that everything looked fancy and fit for a billionaire who spends his nights kicking crime’s butt.

All of this looking around the plane pony did seemingly distracted her briefly, and didn’t let her realize that a smaller pony, way, way smaller than her, was on front of him. “Batplane” He said, his garish uniform with green, yellow and red was visible everywhere and indicated who this particular superhero was; Robin. But even though his colors would’ve made him as visible as a security jacket in the middle of the night, the plane pony failed to notice him.

Robin froze in fear as he suddenly saw the bat plone’s hoof raise, and, after reaching the maximum altitude, started to descend, right where he was, at that very spot, the menacing fluffy and soft hoof approaching “BATPLANE, LISTEN!” he said with a commanding order, as the plane pony finally realized there was something at hoof and, after looking and inspecting it more closely, realized it was Robin. Her face when she realized she was about to squish him was worth a thousand giant pennies. “EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE” she screeched out of sudden by surprise, missing the colorful superhero by a few inches, the hoof landing on the right side of him and making his cape blow lightly. “I’m sorry! I’m really sorry, didn’t see you!” She said, giving Robin the cute kitty eyes as she reduced her stature to have her chin touching the cold metal of the bridge/platform and looking at him with a worried/scared facial expression. Robin just sighed, being unable to bear that unbearable cuteness, and decided to break the loud silence that had just deflagrated between them both “It’s okay, you don’t have to worry… Just… please be more careful okay?” He said, smiling at him and proceeding to walk away to do his business “Goodnight Batplone” Robin politely said, being taught manners the hard way by Alfred and Wayne.

The plane pony, after realizing that her tactic of making herself way too cute worked, smiled and giggled lightly, letting out a little “Eeeeeeee” of enjoyment at the current situation that she didn’t get punished, and went to her usual sleeping spot, gently striding through the platform to avoid stepping on any car, bike, bathelicopter, or God forbid, Batman itself. “Goodnight Robin, goodnight Batman!” She said to both of them, who were currently working something in the fancy crime computer, as they proceeded to give various acknowledging gestures towards the plane pony before going back to their work of kicking butts and taking names

Shortly afterwards, she reached her favorite sleeping point, and, with a quick parkour like move that seemingly rivaled in swiftness and skill to the pony of the night himself, she was suddenly upside down, her front hooves firmly supporting all her weight as her hindhooves started poking around to search for the metal beam she was going to hang on. A few seconds later, she touched the surface, and, with a quick move, she grappled her black tail around it, managing to secure it tightly and nicely to not fall face first like she had done so in the past, having bonked her head quite harshly towards the concrete floor that didn’t have any mercy on her, heck, that action even made Batman laugh… or at the very least, snort.

“Just nice and cozy…” The batplanepony said to herself, as she started getting herself comfortable, proceeding to snuggle upon herself comfortably, her cute hindhooves dangling and showing the underhooves as she seemed to ‘pick herself up’, as in, put all her extremities together to not be cold at night. Basically ‘Hugging herself’, keeping her fluffy forehooves close to her fluffy chest to provide warmth, the amount of fluffiness in all her body also providing a great temperature insulation for the cute plone, along with the particular materials she was made with.

The plane pony, after managing to position herself perfectly, started rocking slightly back and forth, as some kind of calming movement that could help her sleep, at the same time, she closed her eyes and smiled contently, hanging upside down and moving like a pendulum, her axe-looking wings still fully extended, and the tip of her fluffy ears almost grazing the surface. After a little while, a little snoring could be heard coming from her, as she started to lazily drift into the dream realm, meeting Princess Luna herself, who probably would’ve wondered what was a plane pony doing there, and why she was so big.

Meanwhile she slept peacefully and snored softly, two superhero ponies watched the cutest black plone with different expressions; Batman, in this case, had a seemingly serious expression at first, but, if one could see closer, he was smiling slightly. As for his sidekick Robin, he was smiling widely, not caring about mannerism, and just finding the whole scene cute. “So, why did you design that plane pony like that?” Robin asked, curious and wondering, to be honest he knew that Batman wasn’t the kind of guy to make things adorable, and all his equipment pointed exactly that. The answer he received from the pony of the night (A title that was originally taken by Luna and had actual trademark, for which Batman would be hit with a Cease and Desist later~) was surprising, to say the least.

“I wanted a regular aircraft… But Barbara said ‘If it’s alive and pony-shaped it would be like another member of the team, and have self-consciousness and assess threats more effectively… also I want a plane pony so much’” He sighed, looking at the sleeping plone, smiled towards her, and then proceeded to get back to work, Robin following along and both letting the sleepy plone sleep peacefully.

A coot drawing I did of the batplane, because someone dared me to draw it saying that I wouldn’t be able to do so, and I just wanted to make a cute bat pony of sorts anyways. So, here you have, just for you, you know who you are :3

I based the plane pony herself on Batman’s aircraft, erm, uh…. The one that looks very ‘axe-like’ and very ‘bat-like’ and has those cool wings of sort, I don’t really know the name other than ‘batplane’ (Sorry, I never watched Batman :<). I also made her female because yes and I made her extra fluffy because I love extra fluffy things (And she needs all that fluff to be warm on Batman’s cave anyways~).

I also gave her bat pony characteristics and a tail (Otherwise how she would be able to hang upside down on something? :<). I would’ve gave her fangs, but since her hooves are blocking her mouth, well… Also the cute hindhooves because yes and the cute pose comes from various ‘upside down hanging bat ponies’ I’ve seen on Derpibooru.

The cave background is well… because I imagine Batman has a batcave which probably has cave walls and is very cavey? I don’t know, don’t ask me, I just wanted to draw a cute bat pone plane pone and I thought of the details later (And sorry if the story is wrong on something, as I said, I don’t know anything about Batman :<)
