> It all started last night when Danny started complaining that his throat felt sore. I didn't think much of it at first, thought he was just having a dry throat. For all the good this motel has been, the taps don't even work on most days.
> But then he started getting worse. He lost his appetite, he's pale, he's shaking, and he's unable to sleep. And by extension neither have I. I was able to get in touch with NightSwift and she immediately came to see him.
> She sighed. "Shit, looks like he's coming down with the flu or a fever."
> "And just when we're low on bits. Life's fucking great."
> NightSwift rested a hoof on Danny's forehead. "No cash or meds…right. Well, that leaves just one option, then." She went to a nearby closet, opened the door and dragged a footlocker out of it. "We just gotta grab some money." She unlocked the box to uncover a stash of…maps?
> "…What are those maps for?"
> Her horn lit up to reveal that the maps were highly detailed, with lists of arrival and departure times. "These are railway maps of supply trains that run from Yakistan to Stalliongrad. The SS uses these trains to supply their expeditions and frontline troops. The trains are just loaded with goods that black markets would kill for, and if we are lucky, they may have healing potions for illnesses."
> "Hm…Wait, 'we'?"
> "Well, yeah! I'm not hitting an armored train alone!" She brought out photos of one such supply train. Fuck, just look at that thing! Gun turrets on the tops of the wagons, machine guns poking out of the sides, and even tank ponies riding on the flatbeds. "C'mon Mel, it'll be a blast." She snickered.
> "But I'm shit with a gun. Can barely shoot a tin can without nearly blowing off my foot, first." I've tried shooting guns before. I always forget the safety switch and I'm a bit clumsy with reloading. I'm also terrible with aiming the damn things.
> "Oh, you won't be shooting a gun. I've got a special weapon you can't possibly miss." She led me down the basement and unlocked the metal door. The room on the other side was kind of cramped with odd things, knickknacks, kids' toys, and disassembled robots.
> "Whoa."
> "Yeah, it's somewhere in here… Oh, feel free to take whatever you want. Most of this junk are ponies… As in ponies are transformed into these harmless toys and things, like this guy!" She picked up a jack-in-abox, it bobbed on its squeaky spring looking both cheery and saddened. Its eyes looked between her and me, silently begging for help. "This guy was a loan shark who was tryin' to set up shop in Ponyville. I canned him…in more ways than one." She dropped the little guy and dug around some more, looking for something. …hm…Oh! What sorts of weapons can you use reliably?"
> My body couldn't help but shiver slightly. Just thinking about having a fate as horrible as all these ponies' sent chills down my spine. I will admit that half of the time I forget NightSwift's known as a terrorist for a reason. I made a mental note to never get on her bad side.
> "Ah ha!" She dragged out a very large missile launcher that was as tall as she was. "Whew, okay, this is called a God fist. It's a shield piercing, laser guided missile."
> "Jesus Christ."
> "You are gonna fire it, and I'll guide it to target with a laser sight I have. Simple!"
> "Easy for you to say. That thing would be enough to launch me back when I fire it. And even then, what would we do once we're actually INSIDE the train?"
> "I dunno, let's just play it by ear. We'll run in, get what we need and get the hell outta there."
> "Uh huh, and what about guards? Possibly armed guards?"
> "We'll shoot th
> "Really knives and fists are all I'm good with." Back when I did prostitution full-time, I taught myself how to fight and fend for myself in case of a situation that I'm sure you can figure out for yourself. I've had a few close calls, but I always managed to trump over their brute strength. Being big and strong didn't mean shit when I can move faster and fight smarter than them. But those may be stories for another time.
> NightSwift nodded. "Eh, it most likely won't matter, anyways. If we hit this thing just right." She gave me a combat knife in a leg holster. "I better get you some winter clothes. We'll be up in the mountains."
> "Alright."

> Ooh boy, this is gonna be a big one.
> Edit: Yeah, decided to condense the story into just two parts since the rest of the story takes place in the same location and making five drawings based on one story was a little too ambitious.
> This story was once again co-written by [billy2345](https://www.deviantart.com/billy2345) and myself.
