Mouse, a loaner scavenger who would much prefer to keep his life in the wasteland as uncomplicated as possible, bears silent witness to an unfamiliar mare's fall from the sky. Against his better judgment and more than a few personal mantras, he loads the half-dead pegasus into his wagon and quietly hopes he hasn't brought more trouble upon himself than he can handle.
