Description:

Some character info I sometimes do for my OCs. I am planning to do some comic stuff with Grand Rose, so I decided to draw one for him. The info is something I already shared about him in an older drawing, but I slightly changed up and added to it.

Grand Rhone is Fox's grandfather on his mother's line.

He is an owner of Chateau Galop, one of the biggest wineries in Equestria.

Depending on the person, he is referred to as Mr Rose (by business partners) , Grand Rhone (by Fox's friends, acquaintances), Grandpa (by Fox) and by Grandpa Fox (pretty much only by Crispy Crunch).

He was a loving father, even supportive of his 'princess' marrying a baker. However, work took up a lot of his time. He felt immense guilt focusing so much on his work and not spending enough time with his daughter before she and her husband passed. Afterwards he raised the really young Fox. He let his grandson live his life as he wanted to, if that was what made him happy. Partially of a fear of losing his only family member. While it wasn't always easy, overall Fox and Grand Rhone have a really close and good relationship.

He is rather open-minded, more than others around his age (he is close to 70). He is a tad shorter than an average stallion and has a weakish build. However, the latter is more because of how old he is. Though he would make you believe his short build too, and he was a tall and handsome stallion when he was young.

He can be described as someone polite, only raising his voice when necessary, because he can put weight into his words. He is serious in business, but shows a level of kindness, which landed him loyal business partners. However, he is protective of his grandson and does not allow anyone to speak ill of him even if this means he is losing future business opportunities. Or even some cases use almost like a mafia boss like technicks with business partners (he's always there to listen, he knows many secrets and is not afraid to use them).

Notes about his name and design:

- In the case of Fox, as his actual name is Jack Rose, his name came from a type of cocktail. And in the case of Rhone Rose, it's based on wine.

- Back then Fox's design was based on a flying fox, especially the 'spectacled flying fox'. Grand Rhone is the same, just for him it was the 'grey-headed flying fox'.
