Inspired by the free pixel bases by MoogleyMog (They might not require credit, but it's still good to give), I decided to put together a quick little Gen 1 OC build around my little propensity for modular furry and pony characters.

Meet Diamond Shard, a unicorn "Puzzle Pony", which means that her special talent as a unicorn is that she can detach and reattach parts of her body (not just her head as shown), and even put some other simple things in their place as well.

This can sometimes come in handy. (Why risk breaking your own skull to be a battering ram and you can put a big rock in its place?) And sometimes be a hindrance. (Getting startled by one of Surprise's "Surprises" gets extra inconvenient when you pop apart and have to reassemble yourself as a result.)

Personality-wise, Diamond Shard can occasionally be a bit of a goofball, especially in regards to her ability to take herself apart (an example being the cliche "it's nothing to lose your head over" pun after something causes worry), but outside of those occasional gags, she tends to be more of a supporter, lacking personal initiative due to her own insecurity regarding her talents, but eager to help others. In fact, her gags regarding her own modularity are themselves a form of self-deprecation that aims to make her seem less scary to other ponies.
