> So i decided to make a mini series of the mane 6 transforming into some kind of monsters. Some turning out to have a happy ending, some others having… Not so good ones. This is the first of 6.

> “SPIKE WHAT'S HAPPENING??!?!”
> Those were the final words the small, purple dragon heard from his lifelong companion: Princess Twilight Sparkle. He remembered the events like it was just yesterday…
> They were in Princess Twilight's castle, they were trying out new spells to help with unlocking new paths to bigger and more powerful spells.
> “What about this?” The small dragon asked, as he handed Twilight a spell book.
> The cover was void black, with golden symbols on it that not even Twilight had seen. They must have been around before Celestia even became the new princess.
> “Hm… Maybe you’re right. There could be something we haven't tried yet.” Twilight exclaimed with a hint of excitement. A whole new book that the princess hadn’t seen yet! Who knows what spells are in here!?
> She opened the book in the middle using her magic, and she stopped on a random page. It was a transformation spell, known to help alicorns defend their kingdoms, the spell was thousands of years old, but it could definitely help protect Ponyville against any future attacks from the likes of Queen Chrysalis. Even with Discord on their side, he can only do so much, this could be the last resort they need.
> She handed the book to Spike, who held it up for the princess to see clearly. Twilight took a few steps back and she spread her wings wide, her horn igniting. Her magic spread into a bright aura around the princess, as it began to take effect. Twilight let out a few winces, and then a grunt, and then a scream.
> Her wings retracted into her body, the sound of bones cracking and reshaping themselves filled the room. Blood ran down the princesses legs, as large spikes appeared either side of her body, growing out to be hundreds of pointed legs. Her own hooves soon changing into those same legs. Her torso grew longer, as her tail also retracted into her body, transforming into 2 large pincers that doubled as back legs.
> The princess continued to scream with agony as more spikes appeared in the back of her head and neck, causing her mane to fall off.
> “SPIKE!! WHAT'S HAPPENING?!?!”
> The princess yelled out as her head suddenly had many bloody lines running through it. The princess’s body went limp as her head opened into many sections, blood spraying and covering Spike, as well as the book and the walls of the room.
> Out of the bloody and fleshy flower, grew 4 long necks, each topped off with a giant snake head. Each head had a curved unicorn horn, its own line of spikes in the colour of Twilights mane, and a long pair of fangs protruding from the lips of each head.
> The centi-hydra that was once Spike's life-long friend, let out a mighty roar, all 8 eyes locking with Spikes. The baby dragon let out a scream, slamming the book shut, and sprinting as fast as his legs would carry him out of the castle and to a safe place…
> That happened over 6 months ago… That creature that was once his friend, was still roaming free. The small dragon had made several trips back to Ponville to grab extra supplies that might help him get to Princesses Celestia and Luna. He hadn't been able to contact them via his usual way of sending letters. All the quills had been snapped beyond repair, and all the ink they used had been spilt throughout the castle. And all the paper had been shredded into tiny pieces amongst all the chaos. All shops and markets had been abandoned after Twilight had broken free from the castle, and started rampaging throughout Ponyville.
> The tiny dragon had made one final trip to Ponyville from a nearby camp he had set up, made of leftover fabrics from the Carousel Boutique, Rarity can scold him later, he had his home to save. He grabbed his backpack and slowly made his way to Ponyville. Using half destroyed buildings for cover, as well as any remaining canopies from market tents. He knew Twilight was still here, as he could hear very loud sounds of scuttling, as well as growling.
> He stepped out of a nearby building, to make his way to the castle.. Well… what was left of it. There were shards of crystal everywhere, as well as half burnt books and destroyed clothes from events. All the memories, gone…
> The dragon couldn't help but get choked up when he saw the castle, as he made a beeline for it. But he froze. Scuttling… Growling and snarling… It was coming from right behind him… Spike slowly turned around to see Twilight. All 8 of her blood red eyes were locked onto him, just like they were 6 months ago.
> Spike tried to remain quiet, tears running down his cheeks as he broke into a sprint toward the castle.
> The scuttling got louder, the roaring got closer, he could feel breathing down the back of his neck!
> He made it to the castle, but not without the close call of some large fangs nearly piercing into his back. He hid in a small, dark corner as the centi-hydra slowly walked into the ruins. All 4 heads scanning the area and looking for their prey. Before giving a snarl and leaving with a loud roar.
> Spike slowly made his way into the castle, trying not to make a sound. Making his way to Twilight and Spike’s old bedroom, the one place that had managed to remain intact.
> Scanning the room, he looked under his bed, finding his secret stash of edible gems, as well as a map of Equestria and some water. It was going to be a long trip… He needed to do what he could to get to the princesses before Twilight left Ponyville to cause more chaos.
> He left through an open window, avoiding the scanning gaze of his friend, and made his way to Canterlot. It took many many days, many wrong turns, and a lot of rather unpleasant encounters. But after miles upon miles of travel, he finally made it to Canterlot. He let out a small sigh of relief, his eyes welling up with tears as he saw the Princesses castle upon the horizon.
> He sprinted through Canterlot, only just avoiding bumping into the civilians just going about their daily lives. Before making his way to the castle. He got there in fairly quick time given the circumstance, He fell to his hands and knees before the royal guards, who stood proudly at the entrance to the castle.
> “Sir spike!” One of the guards exclaimed. He dropped his spear and picked up spike, spreading his wings to keep the exhausted dragon in place on his back.
> “Stay here and guard the door! Ill be back as soon as possible!” The guard ordered the other guard, before sprinting into the castle. He ran through the halls as spike held on tightly to the sides of the guards headpiece. He kicked in the door to the throne room, which immediately caught the attention of Princesses Celestia and Luna.
> “Your majesties! It's Spike, Princess Twilight’s friend! He's in bad shape!” The guard shouted as he ran down the royal red carpet toward the thrones. The Princess of the Sun stood up, not worrying about the Guards informalities. She quickly made her way to the guard, meeting him halfway, and he let Spike down onto the ground.
> “C-celestia! It's Twilight! Something happened! W-we were trying out different spells, and she transformed and now Ponyville is being destroyed!” The dragon spoke through shaky breath and saddened hiccups.
> He explained why he couldn't tell Celestia sooner of the problem, and how he traveled to Canterlot on foot because no trains dare come near there.
> Celestia didnt hesitate, she picked up Spike, placing him on her back and turned to Luna.
> “Sister, keep an eye on the borders of Canterlot, if whatever twilight is now, makes it's way here before i can stop it, we’ll need all the help we can get!”
> The princess spread her wings as Spike held onto her neck armour, and she sprinted out of the door. There wasn't any time for a carriage, she had to go now!
> The princess took flight, flying high above Canterlot toward Ponyville, catching the eye of the citizens as she flew over them.
> “How long has it been! And how did she get this way!” Celestia asked to spike as she focused on flying.
> “About 6 months ago! She used this!” Spike explained while holding the book out in front of Celestia’s face so she could see it clearly. The princess let out a gasp and her ears folded back a bit.
> “That book was meant to be destroyed years ago! Why was in in Twilights castle?!” Celestia was more thinking out loud at this point as she flew to Ponyville. She stayed up high as she saw the centi-hydra, scuttling between buildings, most likely looking for food.
> The white alicorn couldn't help but tear up at the sight of her former student in this state.
> “She’s been like this for too long… There’s nothing I can do… except..”
> The princess’s tears became constant, and they dripped from her chin and onto her front hooves. She summoned a blindfold to cover Spike's eyes with, for his own sake.
> Which in turn caused the dragon to hold on a bit tighter to Celestia.
> The princess’s horn ignited, and a magical aura surrounded Twilight. Who let out a roar of agony. Celestia lifted the creature into the air, her magic got stronger and blood started to pour from each joint on the centi-hydra. As her magic started to pull Twilight apart. It was the only way to euthanize this kind of creature. It was not allowed to survive, if it was banished, it will quickly find a way back, and they'd only be on borrowed time. Even though Celestia tried to make it quick, for Twilight’s sake. Legs were ripped from their sockets, horns snapped off, spikes snapped.
> Blood flowed quickly and steadily from the creature as it writhed in the magic’s grip.
> The creature’s pupils shrank to small slits, as the legs were all ripped out one by one, blood stained the scales of the creature, blood ran down the broken horns, spraying over itself and some getting on Celestia. Causing the princess to flinch
> Slowly, the roaring came to a stop, and the now lifeless body of Twilight Sparkle fell to the ground. Celestia gave a shaky sigh before looking over her shoulder at Spike, who was attempting to take off the blindfold.
> “Spike.. Don't look… You wont like what you see…” Celestia explained through sobs.
> But judging by the tear streaks leaking from the blindfold, the purple dragon already knew what happened. Spike simply nodded and held onto celestia tightly, as she flew back to Canterlot.
> When arriving back at Canterlot, Spike got off of Princess Celestia and took off his blindfold. The dragon and the Alicorn looked at eachother, before embracing each other, bursting into tears. There was nothing they could have done, Twilight was too far gone. If only there was a way to tell Celestia a bit sooner, maybe she could have been saved…
> After a few minutes of sobbing, the princess pulled away and opened Spike’s map of Equestria.
> With a regretful sigh, the princesses horn ignited once more, and all of ponyville began to fade, along with Sweet Apple Acres. Taking the entirety of Ponyville off of the map, nothing was left behind, apart from the remaining elements of harmony… Wherever they may be.
