First part of Helios & Honeycrisp's storyline! It starts with how Skyler came to be an intern at EOS, Helios's company.

Snow Storm has always been a big Wonderbolts' fan, his father Thunderlane is the coach of the junior teams. Whenever there are public shows Thunderlane is always entitled to free tickets for all members of his family. Snow Storm begged his father to attend the next show when he found out that Rainbow Dash’s daughter, Skyler, was going to be one of the featured trainees.

Thunderlane accepted and forced Helios and Dove to supervise their younger brother. Dove is always happy to spend time with her family so it was not a problem for her, while Helios was not expecting to be a part of any last minute plans when he had only come to Ponyville for a few days to escape all his appointments as EOS CEO, which were getting a little too overwhelming.

His father explained that he couldn't be with Stormy as he is participating in the show himself as the coach.

The day of the show the three ponies took place in their reserved seats to watch the young athletes. It was impossible to miss Skyler, from the moment she was introduced it was crystal clear that she was by far the best flyer of her team.


Snow Storm: Look Dove, she's so fast!

Dove: She's really good, isn't she Helios?

Helios: Sure, I guess…


Helios was clearly not paying attention to the conversation, he would rather be anywhere other than where he is sitting at this instant. As an earth pony he didn't understand nor was he interested in the physical activity that is flying. He was thinking about all the files and documents waiting for him on his desk back at his office in Manehattan.

As the show ended Snow Storm had stars in his eyes. He's a wonderbolt junior trainee himself, and upon seeing such a great spectacle he was ready to give it his all and improve to try and match Skyler's skills.

It was agreed that after the show Helios, Dove and Snow Storm would go find Thunderlane and all go back home together. On the way to the coach's office, they happen to run into Skyler.

Snow Storm face lit up even more, he didn't have many opportunities to talk with her as the Wonderbolt Junior Trainee teams were divided by age and they were not in the same age group, therefore they very rarely had compatible schedules.

He finally has a chance to discuss techniques and ask her for advice!


Snow Storm: Oh-hi! Hello Skyler!

Dove: Hello Skyler.


Helios stays quiet but nods almost imperceptibly to greet the young athlete.


Skyler: Hi. You are… Thunderlane's family, right?

Snow Storm: Yup! I'm Snow Storm, and that's my brother Helios and my sister Dove! Hey, that was quite a show you put out there. Your parents must be really proud! I wish I was half as good as you, you have to tell me how you to fly li/-

Dove: Now, now, Stormy. Don't be impolite and pester this young lady with all of your questions.

Snow Storm: Oh right, my apologies. I got a little excited. Say, is your mom around? I always dreamt of meeting her! Is she just as awesome as she looks?


Skyler pauses, and her face freezes for a moment.
Helios can't help but notice that she seems slightly irritated by his brother's question.


Skyler: She's not/-

Helios: What did Dove just say Stormy! Let the kid be!

Snow Storm: What? But this is such a rare opportunity!

Dove: "Okay, that's enough. Let's go see dad." \pushes Snow Storm with her wing to guide him to their father's office\

Snow Storm: Aw that's not fair!

Dove: It was a pleasure meeting you Skyler and I apologize for my brother's behavior, he's a big fan.

Snow Storm: \* barely pops over Dove's wing, looking at Skyler\* I really am! Byyyye Skyler!


He and Skyler both look at this ridiculous scene in silence. He turns his gaze back to the filly, she looks… sad.


Helios: I'm sorry about my brother, he has a hard time containing his excitement. He didn't mean any harm.

Skyler: I know, it's fine really.


Helios feels like there is something more he could say to lift her spirit up but… he couldn't find anything meaningful enough to say.


Helios: Is… someone coming to get you?

Skyler: "My brother, he should be here any minute. I'll wait for him over there and let you be with your brother and sister."

Helios: Oh okay, well, be safe. It was nice meeting you Skyler.

Skyler: You too, sir. Bye.


As he looks at her walking away, he hears someone coming over behind him, it's Thunderlane! A little bit further Dove and Snow Storm are still squabbling.


Thunderlane: Thanks for doing this kid, I haven't seen your brother this ecstatic in a long time!

Helios: Yeah, no problem dad."
