saw this hairstyle meme laying around and I wanted to try my hand at it because I've been feeling super stinky about my art. But! I'm happy to say I don't in fact hate it. I actually enjoyed the process c:

I wasn't sure on who to draw at first. originally it was going to be Flash, but I love Luna, she's my current horse. I can just draw her mindlessly and not fuss about it like a madlad.

I could've left the background blank, but it felt like a disservice for the drawings, so I put in a little extra effort to make it pop more : DD

I really wanted to draw Luna with more white in her hair for the braids one, but changed it last minute and decided to add a white ribbon to compensate for that. Was thinking about making her hair very dark almost black for the straight version, but I thought it'd look to dark against all of it. The accessories one, was originally going to be nightmare moon, but Luna with elegant regalia seemed more appealing. I honestly think if I stuck with the original ideas this piece would have more personality and life to it, but of well. I'll just take note for next time.

Younger Luna's mane was supposed to look like a cloud of starlight, but looking at it now I don't think I managed to achieve that. Maybe I should've added more white to make it more cloudy feeling.
