In the episode The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, the story of King Grover uniting the griffons with the Idol of Boreas is told. What if Gilda had traveled back in time to that moment and instead of Grover, it is her that unites the griffons with the Idol, thus leading her to become Queen Gilda. I would imagine Gilda being a benevolent and firm ruler of the Griffons, ushering in an era of prosperity and peace, while trying to get used to her new position. I imagine that she would leave instructions for her descendants to keep the Idol safe and to align with Equestria.

I would like to imagine that Gilda wrote a letter that would be found hundreds of years later to the Mane Six, discussing her story. I think she would also apologize to Rainbow Dash and the other ponies that she wronged.
