An another part of my G5 character reference sheet, where my main goal is to draw as many ponies with different body types as possible.

This time it’s Might Spruce and Mallow Mist with their son, Alphabittle, who’s only a few months old in this pic.

Once Spruce took little Alphie with him to work to the Bridlewood bakery, but it didn’t end up too well.😅 The curious little rascal almost got baked into some brioche dough, even though Spruce could swear that he only put him down for a few seconds!

That’s why now it’s Mallow Mist’s turn to take care of their son. Even though this time she has to go to the forest to collect ingredients for some herbal creams for her customers. Since she don’t wanna repeat the same mistake as his husband, she decided to put his son into a foal carrier. They’ve even bought for him a cube puzzle to keep his little hoovsies busy, so this way he hopefully won’t grab or touch any plants or mushrooms.

Also, a little fun fact: As I think Alphabittle is a draft horse, I took inspiration from those horse breeds when I was designing his parents. Mighty Spruce was inspired by the Clydesdale, while Mallow Mist’s design is based on Ardennais horses.
