Description:

Recently there was an event at the museum where I am working, the "Maker Faire", a rather cool Steam Punk convention. I very much enjoyed my task there in conducting a workshop for our younger visitors who could build robot sculptures from wood and all kinds of decorative materials or do pyrography.
I took the chance to create a little pyrography of Multi Purpose, a whimsical unicorn inventer and tinkerer.
Unfortunately the wood plates offererd for the workshop were of somewhat mediocre quality (with lots of enclosures of humidity or resin), which made smooth pyrographing tricky. I therefore resorted to a technique I haven't been using in a while, using dots rather than lines for most of the pyrography.
