Mama Hooch is a 40 year old earth pony who was born and raised on the outskirts of Neigh Orleans, and as well as owning a large arable farm, she also runs a small but popular distillery, where she makes some of the strongest and purest moonshine to be found in Equestria.
Despite her true name of Golden Pistachio, she legally changed her name to what was once her nickname, Mama Hooch, in order to capitalise on her takeover and rebranding of the once abandoned distillery. This was just after the birth of her twin fillies — Cloudy Berry and Cinnamon Pop, and Ms. Hooch would say that the "name kinda stuck."
Physically, Ms. Hooch is of average size for an adult earth pony mare and is naturally proud of her attributes and abilities. She suffers with no illnesses or arthritis at this point and still appears as a mare half her age. She is, however, somewhat clumsy and not the most dextrous or coordinated of mares, occasionally leading to unfortunate but minor accidents that tend to get laughed off more often than not.
Tending to be a jolly sort with a good word for everypony, Ms. Hooch is a very well-regarded mare and is known to be a trustworthy and honest character. She speaks with an old-timey "Southern Belle" accent, with a distinct Cajun inflection on top of that. Notably, despite running a distillery, she is known to donate money and volunteer herself for a lot of work for charities — especially when it comes to organisations that help children.
She is, however, brutally honest and blunt with other ponies, and takes no BS from anypony, and isn't afraid to give an antagonist a verbal beatdown, or should it be required, she will get into a brawl and start throwing hooves- this is a last resort, as usually her acid-tongue is demoralising enough to get the job done without actual violence.
Her twin daughters are both 18 years old and work on the farm alongside their mother and have a great work ethic instilled within them. Their father bailed as soon as he found out that their mother was pregnant, and understandably, they want nothing to do with him, and for all intents and purposes, he is dead to them.
When it comes to more personal matters, Mama Hooch is heterosexual and has recently decided, after being pestered by her daughters, to start dating again. Notably, she is NOT subtle when signalling her intentions or interest in a potential suitor, and will blatantly give them bedroom eyes as seen in the attached image, or flag her tail and expose herself.
However, Ms. Hooch only does this for suitors that she is VERY interested in, and it is a rare occurrence. She doesn't apologise for this, as its just the way that she is mentally wired up.
As a final note, she doesn't care about the species of a partner at all, values honesty, commitment, and likes a guy that is straightforward in all matters. She has fairly vanilla tastes but does like being bitten and nibbled in addition to other means of physical affection.
