Contest Entry — Shadowed Secrets
Celestia wasn't sure she'd ever be ready to tell Velvet about his father's fate, but when the young stallion discovered her hidden mementos, she knew she could no longer hide the tale of her lost love. Celestia ushered her son out to the royal gardens for some peace and quiet and most importantly the privacy to come clean. Velvet was hurt by his mother's secrets but it was hard to stay angry when he had never seen her look so broken and defeated. He watched the tears fall from her face as she told him of her love of a strong and amazing stallion who gave up everything to see her safe and happy and couldn't help the tears from welling up in his own eyes.

This is my entry for kindheart525 family is magic contest! I think this would be the perfect way Celestia would finally confess the identity of Velvet Shade's father and why they would never get to meet. I didn't expect to go the sad route but this scene just kinda jumped out at me!
