Going off of this idea, I had some ideas for costumes the fillies would wear to help them feel braver when facing the snowmonsters. I was thinking they would dress as monsters themselves, like a windigo, giant arctic wolf, or a snow golem. The costumes would have to be made of more natural materials of course like wood and fur.
