Seriously … how many bronies cared a thing about the kitties?
I know what many of you are thinking. Many of you say "it's just fiction", "it's just not your cup of tea", "you love to sugarcoat reality", and so forth. Okay, then. Let's imagine that these kitties were homosexual — complete with pink triangles. And let's imagine that the splattered kitty was holding a card saying "love is love".
See what I mean? You do have standards when it comes to what you will excuse in a work of fiction. And in a world where fascism is on the rise, it is more critical than ever that we reject everything that makes light of genocide\*. Hasbro owes us a major apology — complete with retracting the first four comics — or fixing them to give the kitties the respect and dignity they deserve.
Ironically, in Season 6, the changelings themselves eventually turned into the sweet innocent race that the first comic arc so evilly mocked. For a long time, I could not read the comics. But in light of the developments in Season 6 … maybe everything the comics did before with the changelings is effectively discarded from the canon?

\* It could be that the kitties just fainted. But, still — this comic is an evil mockery of the love that friendship is supposed to stand for. And this is what we're supposed to enjoy as bronies?
In a world, where fascism is on the rise… where imaginary homosexual kitten genocide takes place… one hero will rise… to make sure… the imaginary horror will never occur again…
