The Chinese social credit score was created by the government, but how cruel they are could easily be fabricated. How would you trust anyone subject to the social credit score, who feared telling the truth about the government's cruelty? How would anyone in China know how bad it is, until they find they can't own property or all their friends and family are forced to shun them, to avoid low credit scores themselves?

It'd be good news if it wasn't hurting anyone. I haven't heard anything reliable in that regard, only that its design is even shittier than the USA credit rating system.
