i didnt understand why chrysalis was the only changeling. and then i thought abt my au's allusions to religion. so heres the seven deadly bugs.
in order, left to right, top to bottom: elytra, arista, haltere, chrysalis, cimex, spira (short for spiracle), vespidae
their ages also go in that order! while their all somewhere between a couple hundred and a couple thousand years old, their "rough" mental ages compared to ponies are:
elytra, arista, haltere are all mentally 30-40 years old. older but still got some spunk.
chrysalis, cimex and spira are all mentally 20-30 years old
vespidae is mentally like 18/19 years old
the seven of them are all sisters, and due to their differing feeding habits (consuming their relating sin), they're generally pretty cool with each other.
the do have a mother, created by grogar in the early stages, celestia doesn't know of her existence, and other villains can only speculate what she is like.
their mother is still alive and well. she simply doesnt make her presence known.
