"Back in 2013 at Everfree Northwest, Peter New (voice talent of Big Macintosh), was asked: "what one item would you like to see, but haven't yet"; relative to his pony character. His response? A Big Mac Magic 8 Apple; of course.
Months passed, and no sign of the fortune-telling fruit appeared.
Then, at Nightmare Nights Dallas 2013, the question arose again. While at a panel with Andrea Libman (voice talent of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy) and Brenda Crichlow (voice talent of Zecora), Mr. New (and the entire panel) responded "A Big Mac, Magic 8 Apple".
Thus, Project: Magimac was born!
Built from a plastic green apple, cut it in half, sanded smooth, and covered with colored card to match Big Mac's cutie mark. Used the drill press on the side opposite, created a custom dice with "YUP" and "NOPE", then covered with plastic and vinyl sheet.
Last touch was presentation. I got the idea to reverse-engineer a Big Mac sandwich box, rebuild in poster-board, and apply custom graphics and embossed lettering. Personally delivered to Mr. New at BABScon 2014, he raised his arms in victory and thanks."
