there's just something so charming about the crummy, off-model, and inaccurate drawings and renders created and used at the dawn of a generation, I've seen some people do style swaps but they always make them look so nice and polished despite it being that wasn't how things were at all! I wanted to honor those humble beginnings

at the same time, the other way round' too, people trash the new 2d style but while it's flawed it's not really bad \(even if it pales in comparison to the concept art\)
