> Featuring some of my blue-eyed characters. I haven't been able to draw much because of exams, but my last one is on Friday so I'm hoping to deliver a promised Fluttershy/Spitfire drawing soon!

> 1. I introduced Athena a little while back, but I forgot how fun it was to draw her. She's the only daughter of Rarity and Applejack, and she's an Earth Pony with the exact build of a unicorn. She actually has a lot of stored unicorn magic, but she doesn't have a horn to channel it with, so she can't really use it. Her earth pony magic in comparison is very weak, so she's not the best at gardening, farming, or really anything that Applejack does. So, she's a unicorn trapped in an earth pony body. That used to frustrate her a lot, but she's learned to live with it.

> Magical deformities like this are actually really common, especially among interspecies couples. Scootaloo, for example, is an Earth Pony trapped in a pegasus body, and Trixie is an Earth Pony trapped in a unicorn body. Trixie has it slightly easier because unicorn horns channel all sorts of magic. So ultimately she's able to cast spells, but they're incredibly weak.

> Athena eventually goes on to pursue her true dream of video game design, but for many years she works as a model and B-List actress in tv shows. She finds work in the Crystal Empire, where she accidentally meets the Queen, Love Letter.


> 2. yay, Dion again! Mans has got a crazy alcohol tolerance. He often spends evenings out with his friends, who aren't really supposed to mingle with him because almost all of his friends happen to be his royal guards. To make matters worse they go to pubs together, drinking the night away in some of the Empire's most low-end locations. But it's fun, and they love it. Dionysus has a huge taste for wine, specifically red wine, and one of his party tricks is being able to down a whole bottle without batting an eye. His tolerance may be due to his alicorn blood.

> For anyone new to the party, Dion is a character in an AU world where Cadence and Tempest are married. Nobles in this world have curved horns, which is a trait exclusive to alicorns in Canon Equestria.


> 3. There are so many variations of markings a pony can be born with. Most commonly, ponies are born with a single coat color. But there are some more interesting combinations out there. "Countershading" is pretty common, where a pony has a light underbelly and a darker saddle (backside where their shoulders are), or where a pony just has the lighter underbelly. "Socks" are common in earth ponies. That's when their legs are lighter or darker. "Saddles" are pretty common too (both Athena and Squirrel have patterned, multi-colored saddles). A "blaze" is a spot above a pony's nose, like the one Athena has, and a "muzzle" is a marking that cover's a pony's muzzle, like the ones Zena and Dion have (Dion has a "faded muzzle"). "Sweetnose" is the name for a pink nose splotch, like the one Squirrel has.


> 4. I think this one kinda speaks for itself. Kibayo is Zena's older brother, obviously before he passed away. He was very close to his sister and also close to Panther, and he'd tease the both of them all the time. Zena gets tired of it fast, but Panther blushes every time. Pan also finds it flattering that Kibayo trusts him enough to even consider him "worthy" of Zena. Panther and Zena aren't together though, they're just besties. Or maybe they're both confused.
